Shintaro Kago (born in Tokyo 1969), is a Japanese guro manga artist.
Shintaro Kago's style has been called "fashionable paranoia".

He has also written Sci-Fi non-guro manga, most notably Super-Conductive Brains Parataxis for Weekly Young Jump.
Many of his shorts are experimental and bizarre.
He frequently breaks the fourth wall, and he likes to play with the page layout in extreme ways, mostly for comedic effect.

On April 4, 2006 an exhibition of his works, called Unsanitary Condition Exhibition (Fueisei Hakurankai) was opened.
Similarly, in the same month the first edition of his personal movie convention called Shit Film Festival (Unko Eigasai) was held by him.

Gabriel Delmas (born in 1973) is a contemporary artist whose work is in perpetual metamorphosis. He
refuses the boundaries between arts and intervenes in many media: painting, etching, video, photography,
installations, comics, illustration, writing, graphism...
He learned drawing with his father practicing in the museums of Antiquities, and the color, variations of
light in landscapes, with his grandfather, in the South of France where Cézanne, Matisse, Renoir, Dunoyer de
Segonzac are often mentionned. As a teenager, he began to practice painting, influenced by the
expressionism of Chaîm Soutine. He takes the habit of living by night, making graffitis or walking through
suburban areas to write under orange light. He wants to be a painter and a poet.He spends his days reading
poetry and writing.
In addition to his studies at the University in Modern Literature, Art History, and Philosophy of Art, he
follows drawing classes at the Académie de Dessin and at Ecole des Beaux-Arts. He also learns the pictorial
techniques in various workshops, including a workshop of painting restoration. Then, he enters the École
Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris where his favourite disciplines are painting, drawing,
etching, photography, and video. He enrols in a post-graduation program in interactivity and at the same
time, he begins his professional career as an Illustrator for anatomy charts and as a graphic designer for
publishing houses. He haunts the natural history museums and their storerooms as well as the museums of
Anatomy and dissection rooms. There, he fills his notebooks with drawings. He also creates works of video
Art, photographs, art CD-ROMs ("Disparitions") and paintings. His video installation "X-infestation" runs in
France, then in Europe and Asia. Viviane Hamy asks him to take photos for some covers of novels she
publishes. For the creation of the book-object “Je crache sur le Christ inné” (Abstèmes & Bobance Editions),
after unpublished poetry by Antonin Artaud, he makes an engraving on wood and several drawings. An
exhibition of his works takes place at the gallery La Hune Brenner in 2001.
Strongly influenced by métal hurlant, and fascinated by Corben, Liberatore, or Druillet, he decides to draw
comic books. From then, he'll constantly keep on developing his unconventional vision of this artistic
medium, based on an instinctive narrative.
With its punk, metal or Gothic atmosphere, his first book, “Le Psychopompe” is published by Éditions
Delcourt (2002). It's a free work, at the crossroads of comics and underground francophone graphic novels,
taking over the legacy of the counterculture in a dark and poetic manner. Le psychopompe becomes a cult
album for fans of Satanism and vampirism. With Vampyr Draco Maleficus Imperator (Tournon, 2004), he
uses his experimental video experience to bring forward a free narrative and strong rhythm breaks.
Hailed by comics critics, his work is recognized by many artists. In February 2005, Tournon publishes Le
Mouton-chien manchot, a macabre and burlesque black-and-white tale. Then he takes an even more
experimental path with Grangousiers (Tournon 2005), a huge and silent 672-pages book. He also
collaborates with various authors (Patrick Pion, Robin Recht, Yacine Elghorri, Joseph Lacroix, David Calvo) or
editors : Les Humanoïdes Associés, Delcourt, Tournon, Quadrants… In 2005, in Essaouira, Morocco, he
writes a long poem in prose entitled "the Kingdom of heaven" in a room on the roof of the Beaurivage
hotel. It will be published as a blog on internet.
Provocative and ironic, he often chooses not to follow the trends, and to maintain his independence
(Orycteropus, 2006). Some graphics books are distributed in the street in the form of photocopies. Others
are published online. “Ils sont parmi nous", a combination of photographs and strange texts, is his first
collection of poems (Tournon, 2008). He writes a fantastic fairy tale 'Alianore' for film Director Victor
Jacquier (published by Les Presses Littéraires 2010, under the pseudonym Gabriel Bassian).
He then creates his rock band "Elagabal" where he composes and plays the electric guitar. The first album
'Entheogenic Electromuses' reveals a down tempo, dark and psychedelic music.
Then follow two major graphic novels: 'Vorax' (written by David Calvo) and “Seigneur Venin” (under the
latinate pseudonym Gabbarel Dalmatius). He spends his days reading, learning computer langages,
passionate by the networks and linux. In 2015, he decided to learn sanskrit.
Today, he focuses mainly on his work as a painter.
